The Aquatime CDP provides protection for any pump by detecting the current flow (power into the pump). On power-up, the pump is allowed to operate uninterrupted for 5 minutes. If after 5 mintues the current draw of the pump exceeds the window of operation, the pump is shut down until the next power on cycle.
